Hadrian's Brasserie to Host Exclusive Wine Evening
Hadrian’s - The Balmoral’s buzzy Brasserie – will host an exclusive food and wine pairing event on Thursday 25 October 2007, to celebrate the historical and creative union of Bordeaux wine with Scottish cuisine.
Hadrian’s is delighted to welcome wine connoisseur Edouard Thouvenot from Château Mouton Rothschild, who will present a selection of the best wines from their vineyards in Limoux and Bordeaux including their very rare white grand Aile d’Argent 2003, and Chateau Mouton – Rothschild 1988 red.
Jeff Bland, The Balmoral’s Michelin-starred Executive Chef, has created an inspiring four course gourmet menu to accompany the Mouton Rothschild wines, including a delicious selection of Scottish delicacies such as Scallops served with John Dory and Orkney Beef.
James O’ Donnell, Hadrian’s Manager commented: “Hadrian’s introduced the first in a series of special culinary and wine events a year ago, to the delight of our loyal customers who wish to learn about new wines. I am delighted to be working with Edouard Thouvenot, who is representing one of the greatest vineyards in France.”
This special evening will start at 7.00pm with a wine and canapés reception, followed by a sumptuous four-course gourmet menu in Hadrian’s, including a glass of wine per course as presented by Edouard Thouvenot. This exquisite menu costs £65.00 per person, which includes the welcome reception.
Advance bookings are necessary – please call Hadrian’s on 0131 557 5000.
