Balmoral is best for business in Scotland
This award is voted by readers of Condé Nast Traveller; signifying the best that travel has to offer, and is a great testament to The Balmoral's outstanding service, luxurious accommodation and excellent business facilities.
Since the launch of The "New Balmoral" in March, following a £7 million refurbishment, the hotel has gone from strength to strength. All bedrooms and eight conference and banqueting suites were fully refurbished and individually designed, combining elements of Scottish heritage with contemporary elegance. The IT facilities were also upgraded: all bedrooms offer two telephone lines, fax-modem lines and high-speed internet connection, in addition to the ISDN lines and wireless connection in the conference suites.
The Balmoral has also introduced a number of innovative ideas with an emphasis on creative service, to ensure the "wow" factor. This includes a host of "experiences" as well as the Bath Butler Menu, allowing guests to indulge in a luxury bath treatment, whilst sipping on a glass of champagne with chocolate dipped strawberries.
Debbie Taylor, General Manager at The Balmoral commented: "I am delighted The Balmoral has been recognised as Scotland's best business hotel, ahead of some very prestigious properties. The business sector is a crucial market for The Balmoral, and we are constantly refining our service and creating ideas to ensure we are offering all the personal touches and comforts that business travellers really appreciate when they are away from home."
