The Balmoral is Scotland’s Leading Hotel
The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Collection Hotel was last night voted Scotland’s Leading Hotel at the 14th Annual World Travel Awards.
The glittering World Travel Awards and Green ceremony was held at The Sage Gateshead, Newcastle and was attended by travel and tourism professionals from all over the world. A total of 167,000 travel professionals, including 110,000 travel agents voted in this year’s campaign, indicating the high esteem in which The Balmoral is held by its peers.
It was a night of celebration for The Rocco Forte Collection, which was voted Europe's Leading Luxury Hotel Brand for the third year in a row. In addition, The Presidential Suites at Hotel Astoria in St. Petersburg were named Russia's Leading Suites
Hailed by the Wall Street Journal as the "Travel industry's equivalent to the Oscars", the World Travel Awards are the most comprehensive and most prestigious awards program in global travel industry today. Attended by the captains of industry, the World Travel Awards ceremonies are highly regarded as the event and forum that serves to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the enormous achievements found in all sectors of the global travel industry.
